Vera Monteiro

Associate Professor

Biographical Note

She holds a Master’s in Educational Psychology from ISPA and earned her PhD in the same field from the University of Lisbon. Since 1991, she has been a faculty member at ISPA, teaching various subjects in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies in educational psychology. He also teaches on the master’s and doctoral programs in education. Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Educational Psychology, Psychosociology of Education, Student’s Assessment, and the Thesis Seminar. In addition to her teaching duties, she is a researcher at ISPA’s Research Center in Education. The Foundation for Science and Technology has funded several of her research projects.

Research Interests

Her research primarily focuses on social interactions, self-regulation for learning, and pedagogical assessment. It also focuses on the role of assessment in regulating student learning, the alignment of formative and summative assessments to support student learning, and teachers’ professional collaboration in assessment processes.
