The project goal is to develop an innovative instrument for the reflective and formative assessment of educational intentionality and the quality of the organisation of the educational environment adjusted to the diversity of Portugal’s ECEC contexts. The project thus has the following aims:

1. To characterise early childhood educators’ perceptions and practices about the organisation of the educational environment in the Portuguese ECEC context;
2. To identify the different profiles of educators’ perceptions and practices regarding the organisation of the educational environment;
3. To understand how educators carried out the pedagogical organisation of the educational environment;
4. To comprehend the educational intentionality of educators in their organisation of the educational environment;
5. To analyse the participatory processes in the organization of the educational environment.
