Biographical Note

Alexandra Rodrigues has a PhD in Mathematics Didactics from Beira Interior University and she is a professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology at NOVA University in Lisbon, where she teaches mathematics didactics to pre-service teachers. Previously, she was the pedagogical director of a professional school and was also deputy director of a public school. Her experience also includes operational work, as he is part of the ministerial team that designed the new mathematics programs for secondary school students (2023), and is currently creating resources for their implementation and associated teacher training. Research interests are diverse, focusing on the history of education, the teaching and learning of mathematics, curriculum development, and the integration of technologies in professional education, and has published several articles in these areas of research.
