Ana Teresa Brito

Associate Professor

Biographical Note

Assistant Professor at Ispa-University Institute, she leads the School of Education, co-directs the Master’s Degree in Pre-school Education, teaching in the fields of Early Childhood Education, Inclusion and Early Intervention. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazelton/Gomes-Pedro Foundation for Baby and Family Sciences since 2010. She is a researcher at CIE Ispa and also a member of the Education and Development Team of the ProChild CoLab, coordinating two research projects. She holds a PhD in Child Studies from the University of Minho (2009), a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences (2003), a Licence in Special Education (1999) and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (1986). She completed a study on training in Early Intervention in the UK and Portugal, with a Postdoctoral Fellowship from FCT (2015). Her professional and academic path always complemented each other, conducting to research trails based on lived experiences, and to questions that emerged from them.
